To celebrate Open Access Week, more than 40 participants attended a panel titled  "Generation Open: Researchers' Roles in the Age of Openness," sponsored by UK Libraries and held October 23 in William T. Young Library. Jen Bartlett served as moderator, with presentations by Mary Molinaro, Director of the Research Data Center for UK Libraries, F. Douglas Scutchfield of the UK College of Public Health, and Matthew Zook of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Also during Open Access Week, a program at the Medical Center Library drew 15 attendees to “Your Publication, Your Choice: Choosing the Right Open Access Journal.” Adrian Ho, Director of Digital Scholarship for UK Libraries, addressed participants on how to select an open access journal to host their research.

Other events featured during Open Access week included a webcast kickoff event and an electronic thesis and dissertation information session.
