The Little Free Library is in front of Taylor Education Building |
The Little
Free Library movement has come to the University of Kentucky campus. Faculty
in the UK College of Education Department of Curriculum and Instruction, with
the support of the Education Library, recently installed one of the
brightly-decorated free book exchange stations in front of Taylor Education
Building. Located next to the Upper Street bus stop, the box will offer a
rotating selection of books that may be borrowed on the honor system, with the
understanding that borrowers will also leave books for others when they are
able.
The grand opening of the Little Free Library is
set for Wednesday, October 22 (rain date October 29), from noon to 1 p.m. All
are welcome to attend, and encouraged to bring a book to exchange. Refreshments
will be provided.
