UK Libraries
is actively examining options for a next-generation integrated library platform
to replace the current Voyager system. Next-generation
library platforms are designed to manage digital collections and to take
advantage of advances in computer technology and architecture.
Last fall,
in partnership with other members of the State Assisted Academic Library
Council of Kentucky (SAALCK), UK Libraries heard from representatives of Ex
Libris about the merits of the ALMA and PRIMO platforms. The same group will be meeting March 6 in
Louisville to learn more about OCLC’s Worldshare system.
Forums for
UK Libraries faculty and staff will be scheduled as more information becomes
available.
Thank you for your great information. It will be very helpful for me .....
