Doug Boyd will serve as president of Oral History Association

Doug Boyd, Director of the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History at the UK Libraries Special Collections Research Center, has been elected First Vice President for the national Oral History Association.  He will serve as President of the organization beginning in October 2016.  Boyd has previously served on numerous committees and on the Executive Council for the OHA.

The OHA, established in 1966, seeks to bring together all persons interested in oral history as a way of collecting and interpreting human memories to foster knowledge and human dignity. With an international membership, the OHA serves a broad and diverse audience.
