UK Libraries at the Special Libraries Association conference

Four representatives from UK Libraries attended the Special Libraries Association (SLA) conference in Boston June 13 -16.

Dr. Stacey Greenwell, associate dean for Academic Affairs and Research, co-presented a Master Class session with Leslie J. Reynolds, senior associate dean at the University of Colorado Boulder; the class was entitled “Revolutionary Learning Organizations: Core Values, Best Practices, New Horizons.”  Stacey served in several capacities at the conference: SLA Fellow, Director for the Leadership and Management Division, Archivist for the Academic Division, and as a member of the Professional Development Advisory Council.


Alex Grigg
As President-Elect of the Kentucky Chapter of SLA, Alex Grigg of the Lexmark Library represented the chapter at cabinet meetings. Alex also serves as chair of the association’s Technology Advisory Council. In his role as Chair of the Food, Agriculture, and Nutrition (FAN) Division, Jason Keinsley, agriculture librarian, led all FAN division programming. Valerie Perry, director of branch libraries and head of the Agricultural Information Center, is currently serving on two association-level committees for the SLA: the Volunteer Experience Taskforce and the Nominating Committee.
