A class of third grade students from Sayre School in Lexington visited
UK Libraries Special Collections Research Center and the King Library Press on
September 28, 2015. Georgia Henkel, art
teacher at Sayre, scheduled the tour and chaperoned the group along with other
Sayre faculty. Paul Holbrook,
director of King Library Press, gave an engaging and age-appropriate
introduction to hand press printing. Each child printed an image on the small
clamshell press, and took home their souvenir.
