Jeff Dycus, library specialist in the Electronic
Resources unit since July 2013, has accepted a position as the Online Access
Administrator for the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort. In his new
position Jeff will be responsible for the planning and implementation of new
and legacy access technologies in support of improved digital access to all KHS
collections. His new duties will also include working with the public, serving
as a resource for specialized research services, and participating in KHS
educational programming.
We thank Jeff for all of his contributions, not only to the ER Unit, but to UK Libraries generally - particularly his recent service on the Alma Migration Task Force and his troubleshooting via the LIB-ER listserv. We will miss his quiet but friendly demeanor, his technical skills and insights, and his commitment to excellent service. Jeff’s last day will be Friday, March 25. Please wish him well in this new endeavor.
