Jaime
Marie Burton, director of Research Services and Education in the Special
Collections Research Center, has been elected as the incoming secretary for the
Society of American Archivists (SAA) Security Roundtable. Jaime will begin her term the first of August at the annual
meeting of the SAA in Atlanta.
Founded in 1977, SAA's Security Roundtable focuses on preventing thefts in archival and
manuscript repositories. The mission of the roundtable is to combat theft,
mutilation, forgery, hacking, and other acts that compromise the integrity of
the historical record and deny access to users.
