Design Library spotlights work of Richard B. Isenhour in Lexington

The Design Library hosted a lecture by Larry Isenhour, author and son of architect Richard B. Isenhour, on March 10.  Larry Isenhour’s new book is The Houses of Richard B. Isenhour: Mid-Century Modern in Kentucky. Richard Isenhour designed approximately 100 houses in Lexington, most of them in the Gainesway neighborhood and the area near Nicholasville Road and Jesselin Drive.

About 50 people, including local architects and current owners of Isenhour homes, attended the lecture. Following the lecture attendees gathered for a reception and to view an exhibit on Richard Isenhour's work. The Isenhour exhibit will remain up in the Design Library through March 31.
