Special Collections Research Center welcomes students on first day of classes

On Wednesday, August 26, 2015, the Special Collections Research Center celebrated the first day of classes and their new UK Sesquicentennial exhibit with an open house. The event included ice cream, a photo booth, UK-branded Coca-Cola bottles, and vintage-style Kentucky pennants.

The Sesquicentennial exhibit includes over 150 images, documents, and artifacts from UK’s past. The exhibit will be up in the lobby of the Margaret I. King Library until October 15. Visitors are welcome to view the exhibit, which ranges from football programs to tufts of historical cat hair. Thanks to all who worked on the exhibit and put on the open house to welcome our students on the first day of classes.
