Jen Bartlett, Head of William T.
Young Library Reference Services, was an invited panelist at the
second Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) Career
Institute, Writing & Editing: Developing Career Skills and Building
Your Professional Reputation.
The Institute took place at the recent
American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Jen joined other writers and editors from Seton Hall University,
the University of Kansas, Dickinson College, Valparaiso University, the
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, and the University of North Carolina,
Wilmington to discuss the elements of successful writing and editing in
professional publications. She has written and edited for publications
including Public Libraries and College & Research
Libraries, and currently writes the book review column “New and Noteworthy”
for Library Leadership & Management, LLAMA’s professional journal.
