Deirdre Scaggs participates in Harvard workshop

On April 3-4, 2014, Deirdre Scaggs, Associate Dean for Special Collections, attended the invitation-only Radcliffe Workshop on Technology and Archival Processing at Harvard University.  The two day workshop brought together archivists and technologists to examine and discuss how new technologies including facial, speech, and handwriting recognition can aid the archival process.  “It was an incredible opportunity to look deeply into the 21st century Special Collections,” said Deirdre.
