Special Collections Clements GA accepts position in West Virginia

Seth Newell, a native of northeast Ohio, attended  Oklahoma Christian University.  In January 2013, he moved to Lexington upon his acceptance into UK’s School of Library and Information Science .  From January to August, 2013, Seth worked in the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History digitizing interviews, assisting with reference requests and in metadata and collection management.  

In August, Seth was awarded the Earle C. Clements Graduate Assistantship during which he worked with the National Archives to create a learning module using primary sources.  He also processed the Congressman Andrew J. May Collection.  Starting this summer, Seth will begin a new position as the Technical Systems and Services Librarian for the Marion County (WV) Public Library system.  This new opportunity will allow Seth to work with cataloging, project management, database management, and technology education.  Congratulations to Seth.
