The UK Libraries Special
Collections Research Center recently added the following collections
and items to ExploreUK:
Bullock family
papers, 1812-1908 consist of court records, accounts, tax statements,
correspondence, and notes, which document the Bullock family of Kenton County,
Kentucky.
Wade Hall Collection of American Letters:
Berkey family papers, 1858-1867, undated comprises correspondence,
quartermaster papers, a receipt, and newspaper clippings. These papers document
the daily activities of a soldier in the Civil War, the conditions and feeling
of family and friends on the home front, and the opinions on politics,
religion, and war during this period.

last but definitely not least…:
Benham Coal Company Records, 1911-1973 focus primarily on the early years of
Benham Coal through the 1940s, including office files, Employee Benefits
Association records, files on accidents and safety, and photographs. This is
one of several Appalachian collections to be digitized by Stacy Yelton as part of the National Endowment for the Humanities
funded “Coal, Camps, and Railroads” project. More information about this
collection and the CCR project will be released next week via UKNow.
