Deana Thomas accepts position at Kentucky Historical Society

Deana Thomas, recent Archives Assistant in the UK Libraries Special Collections Research Center, accepted a Manuscript Archivist position at the Kentucky Historical Society. A 2014 graduate of UK’s Library Science program, she has worked in the Archives, The Nunn Center for Oral History, and in the SCRC research room. She spent the last seven months working on a special project to process the Pettit, Duncan, and Gibson family papers, which were donated by former Lexington Mayor H. Foster Pettit. The papers include Pettit’s papers from his time as mayor of Lexington from 1971-1977. Congratulations to Deana on her new position.
