The E.F. Spears & Sons Hemp Records (dated 1886-1925) comprises
correspondence and product and customer account information documenting the
production, distribution, and development of hemp and hemp seed in the Bluegrass
region of Kentucky (centered in Paris, Ky.). This collection was processed by
Dominique Luster, one of SCRC’s former Learning Lab Interns.

(dated 1887-1953, bulk 1898-1918) consists of dry
plate, silver nitrate glass negatives, and depicts UK students, buildings, sports teams, clubs, and past
university presidents.
