UK Libraries represented at SLA Annual Conference

The Special Libraries Association 2014 Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO, held in Vancouver, Canada in June attracted nearly 2,500 information professionals and representatives of SLA¹s exhibiting partners. Four UK Libraries faculty took active roles in the conference.

·       Jason Keinsley, Agriculture Librarian, serves as Chair Elect of the SLA Food, Agriculture, and Nutrition Division and is the division’s program chair for the 2015 SLA Annual Conference in Boston.


·       Valerie Perry, Director of Branch Libraries, is past chair of SLA’s Division Cabinet. 

·       Alex Grigg, Library Manger at Lexmark, serves as Chair of the SLA Technology Advisory Council.   

·       Stacey Greenwell, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, served as conference Chair of Contributed Papers. This year’s conference featured three sessions of peer-reviewed paper presentations and the twelve papers will be published online this summer.  She presented a poster presentation about her dissertation work and received the Best Poster Award.
