Doug Boyd gives keynote at 9/11 Oral History Symposium


Doug Boyd speaks that 9/11 Oral History Symposium in New York
Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History Director Doug Boyd gave a keynote lecture for the 9/11 Oral History Symposium held at 7 World Trade Center in New York City on April 20. Dr. Boyd discussed the open source OHMS system for enhancing online access to oral history (developed by the Nunn Center and UK Libraries), and spoke about technical and archival considerations with regard to oral history archives in the digital age. Along with Kathleen Roe, current President of the Society of American Archivists, Dr. Boyd facilitated small group discussions with representatives from various 9/11 oral history initiatives about future possibilities and challenges.
