UPK author receives Crader Family Book Prize

University Press of Kentucky author Douglas V. Mastriano is the recipient of the 2015 Crader Family Book Prize in American Values for his book Alvin York: A New Biography of the Hero of the Argonne. The award recognizes a first book that exemplifies the values of the Crader Family Endowment for American Values: individual liberty, constitutional principles, and civic virtue. 

The Crader Prize is presented to a book in the area of United States, European, or Latin American history that explores the historical development of the political, religious, and economic heritage of Western civilization.
