The Agricultural
Information Center (AIC) recently underwent some major improvements as a result
of a partnership between UK Libraries and the College
of Agriculture, Food, and Environment (CAFE).
New paint, signage, and flooring, along with a
new information desk, now greet visitors to the AIC. A space made available by the migration of materials to online access is now a multipurpose meeting and
study space. The former journals room is now divided into two collaborative
learning spaces with presentation equipment and modular furniture. Adding power
outlets made all spaces more laptop-friendly.
Many of the renovations were funded by CAFE and additional equipment came from campus surplus of equipment from the Science
Library and William T. Young Library. The result is a space designed to serve the current needs of
students, faculty, and staff of CAFE.
