UK Libraries faculty, staff and graduate
assistants participated in the annual Kentucky Library Association conference
chairing and serving on committees and working groups and making presentations.
Laura
Whayne, head of the Transportation Library, completed her year as KLA past president at the close of the conference.

Library-Community Partnership: The Basic Archives Workshop as a Joint Community
Support & Collection Development Initiative.” They summarized
a series of SCRC workshops on basic records management for community
organizations, particularly African American churches.
Giles is a local historian.
