In March of 1964, while researching the book Who Speaks for the Negro?, writer Robert Penn Warren interviewed
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today, the recording of that interview is held in the collections of
the UK Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History. This weekend, the interview will
air on C-SPAN3’s American History TV Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
eastern. It will also get an additional airing next weekend, on Sunday, March
